Welcome to the demonstration of the capabilities of the free visECAD viewer.This product can be used to ccc files produced from Expedition 2007,Board Station XE 2007, Fab Link XE 2007,PADS Layout 9.0, Dx Designer 2007.6 and camcad.DWG TrueView and other CAD file viewers See supported files and features, and choose the free CAD file viewer that's right for you. First we will load a schematic ccc file.The first sheet in the schematic is shownhowever, it is easy to switch between sheets using sheet navigation.Using the schematic navigator in nets mode we can highlight individual nets.visECAD will automatically switch between sheets if necessary.

Switching to components mode enables the highlighting of components.See that the component attribues are available once a component is highlighted.The free visECAD version only views a single ccc file so we must close the schematic beforewe can load the layout file.If you need the ability to view both schematic and layout files at the same time,please request an evaluation of the base visECAD product.Now we will open a pannelized layout design.First we see the board image, but can easily click on the panel view.We have a panel of two identical boards; one rotated one hundred and eighty degreesfrom the other.Here we use the PCB navigator to find specific components on the board.Again, as in the schematic file, component attributes are immediatelyavailable.The ability to quickly find components can really speed up debug and repairactivities.There is an option to automatically flip the board over depending on theside that the component is placed on.Once a component is highlighteda simple click on the geometry review button reviewed will show the components geometry as defined inthe CAD system.There is a powerful but easy to use measure function in visECAD.Select the first feature to measure,then select the second feature.The picture of the two featuresis shown immediatelyand the minimum distance between the two pads can be shown with a click in theappropriate cell of the grid.The free product has full print and print preview included.Set the display to create the print output needed.The print preview is created firstthen the final image is shown before it is committed to paper.all CAD layers are available to customize the view using the layer list.Layer color, draw order andvisibility can all be customized.One of the most powerful features invisECAD is the ability to create many different PCB views.These can all be configured to your own environment and then shared across anetwork.For users of Mentor Expedition layout and PADS layout, it is possible to externallycross probe with visECAD layout designs in both directions.Components, pins, and nets can all be used to keep the two views synchronized.Take a look at the other videos for the purchased visECAD versionand its optional features.visECAD Collaboration SolutionsThe visECAD Viewer gives read-only access to complete PCB schematic and layout design data in an easy-to-use Windows application.
